23 Sept: Belfast City Half Marathon

On Sunday 23rd September 2018 at 9am, around 4,000 participants are expected to set off on their 13.1 mile journey from Ormeau Park in a bid to complete the largest Half Marathon event in Northern Ireland, the 6th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon.

Volunteering at this event will include;

* Marshalling

* Stewarding at the Start and Finish Line;

* Organising the medals and hand out runners bags;

* Informing spectators about the race route;

* Operating the water and energy stations.

All volunteers will receive event training prior to Race Day and an official rain jacket

TRAINING:

It is important for you to attend a training session, even if you have volunteered in the past at this event, because you must be aware of changes to the new Road Closure Legislation and what that means to you as Half Marathon Volunteer.

LAST training session takes place Thursday 20th Sept, 6-8pm

at  Volunteer Now office, 34 Shaftesbury Square, Belfast, BT2 7DB. 

Recruitment for this event is through Volunteer Now's Events Team. You need to register to volunteer at this event through the MyVolunteerPage (this is a separate account to your normal volunteering one as it will allow you book shifts, role-appropriate training, etc) Click here to register.
