Peer Research Project - Recruitment Now Open!

09 July 2013

The Volunteer Now Peer Research Programme offers young people the opportunity to explore issues related to volunteering by carrying out primary research that can increase our understanding of it and inform policy and practice. Young people will be provided with training and support to carry out the research, analyse results and write up their findings.

This year's Peer Research Project will focus on the topic of volunteering and the impact it has on employability, employment options and career choices. We are currently recruiting eight/nine young people aged 16 or over to participate in an eight month project. It is planned that the project will start in August, however this will be determined by the availability of the young people. Training will be provided so there is no need for any previous experience and there will a variety of roles within the project, from carrying out research and writing up the findings, to working with stakeholders to increase awareness of the results.
