Arthritis Care NI

27 May 2014

Local actress Bronagh Waugh presented a BBC NI Appeal on behalf of Arthritis Care NI.

It is hoped the appeal will raise awareness about the impact arthritis can have on a person regardless of their age and the important role volunteers play within the organisation.

Over 289,000 local people, including children, live with arthritis. It is a chronic, disabling condition that can affect people in different ways. Arthritis Care offers advice and support on pain management and helps people get on with their everyday lives. The charity's work includes training courses, a telephone helpline and activities for the carers and families of people affected by arthritis. It also provides regular opportunities for people to meet and share experiences.
