Belfast FM - our newest radio station

27 November 2014

The countdown is on for the launch of Belfast FM, the new radio service for the city

The station, due to begin broadcasting in the Spring of 2015, will serve the over-55 audience, with programmes providing information, entertainment and interaction for this growing section of the population.

The next few months sees the fitting out of the on air and production/training studios, located right in the city centre, in the Merrion Business Centre on Howard Street.

Belfast FM will keep listeners abreast of what’s happening in the city and more generally, with the daytime line-up including two magazine-style programmes covering a wide range of topics.

The station will play music from the 50’s onwards, with a particular focus on the 60’s and 70’s, and will include specialist shows at the weekends.

Belfast FM Managing Director, John Rosborough, said ‘We’re looking forward to hearing from those who would like to be involved in this exciting not-for-profit venture, and to bringing a new listening choice to Belfast’.
