Compulsory Charity Registration Timeline - December 2014

09 December 2014

Confederation of Community Groups (CCG) are providing an information day on Friday 12 December in Newry.

An organisation must apply for registration as a charity in Northern Ireland, regardless of its income, size or whether or not it has received charitable tax status from HMRC, if:

  • it has exclusively charitable purposes;
  • it is governed by the law of Northern Ireland;
  • it has control and direction over its governance and resources.

To assist groups with charity registration, CCG are providing an information day on Friday 12 December from 9.30am - 4.30pm in Ballybot House, Newry, offering groups one-to-one support sessions.

Please contact either Raymond Jackson or Laurence Bradley at CCG for more information or to register for your one-to-one session - tel 028 3026 1022 or info@ccgnewrycommunity.org.

Please click here for an information sheet, which includes details of what to do and who you can contact in the CCG if you have any queries.
