Stay healthy - put your heart into volunteering in 2015

Most of us know when we are mentally and physically well, but sometimes we need a little extra support to keep well. There are five simple actions that can be built into daily life to help maintain and improve your emotional wellbeing: Connect; Be Active; Take Notice; Keep Learning; Give.

Volunteering is one way of addressing all five - so it’s a great way to get your ‘five a day’!

Volunteer Now, the lead organisation for the promotion, development and support of volunteering across Northern Ireland is encouraging people to think about their physical and emotional wellbeing and to take a step into the world of volunteering.

There are so many people and charities that need help and one small action can have a huge impact.  Connecting with people and giving something back not only helps others, but is proven to make us feel better about ourselves.
