Dementia Friendly Communities Workshop

10 March 2015

Supporting people to live well with dementia.

Dementia can happen to anyone and there is currently no cure.  But with the right support, people can live well with dementia.

Alzheimer’s Society will support people with dementia to live full and engaged lived within their community for as long as possible.  They are helping to create a dementia friendly community in Shankill. Get involved by signing up for a Dementia Friendly Communities Workshop.

  • Thursday 19 March - 1.30-3.30pm OR
  • Wednesday 25 March - 10.00am-12.00pm
  • Venue for both sessions - Hemsworth Court, 29 Malvern Way, Belfast, BT13 1DY

The aim of this session is to help you to:

  • Develop your knowledge of dementia.
  • Increase your confidence and skills to help you relate, communicate and support someone with dementia.
  • Become a dementia friend.

To book your place on either of these workshops, please contact Pamela Frazer, Dementia Friendly Community Support Manager, Alzheimer's Society by email or on 07885 899 009.
