Live Here and Love Here? Then join in the 2016 Big Spring Clean

22 March 2016

What do you think when you see litter and rubbish just dumped on the street, your local park or playground, or on the beach? Do you want to do something about it? At Live Here Love Here we’re working really hard to try to reduce the amount of litter that is dropped and we need your help!

If you’d like to do something positive this Spring to help improve your local environment and local community then why not get involved in the BIG Spring Clean 2016?

The BIG Spring Clean is Northern Ireland’s largest volunteering campaign aimed at cleaning up local areas and improving our environment.  Last year nearly 90,000 people got involved and removed over 107 tonnes of litter.

It’s easy to be part of the BIG Spring Clean. All you have to do is get involved in a clean-up event in your area or organise your own. It doesn’t matter how small or big your event is and you can choose where and when it takes place.

You can help in any one of three ways:

  1. Add your signature to our Live Here Love Here petition and show your support.
  2. Take part in a clean up check out what's on near you.
  3. Organise your own clean up and receive a FREE clean up kit.

The BIG Spring Clean supports local community clean-ups across all 11 council areas in Northern Ireland. It is open to individuals, schools, community groups and businesses wishing to rid their streets of litter and discarded rubbish.
