Student Teachers .... Guide Dogs need you!

18 April 2016

They always say never to work with children or animals... We disagree!

Guide Dogs NI is recruiting a team of Volunteer Schools & Youth Ambassadors to introduce Guide Dogs to a new generation of supporters; teaching children and young people about our work and how they can get involved.

This unique opportunity provides student teachers with valuable classroom experience and will involve speaking to Schools or Youth Groups, delivering structured sessions that are linked to the curriculum using our Guide Dogs @ Schools teaching resources. The resources are fully interactive and can be explored here https://www.guidedogs.org.uk/microsites/guide-dogs-in-school/

So if you are a student teacher and are interested in finding out more about how you can get valuable classroom experience whilst carrying out an accredited volunteering role, come along to our information session:

Wednesday, 11 May 2016 from 18:00 to 19:00 (BST)

At Unit 17 18 Heron Road, Belfast BT3 9LE
