Victim Support NI - Volunteer information Sessions

26 April 2016

Come along to an information session in your area and find out more about volunteer opportunities with Victim Support NI

Community Service volunteers meet with victims of crime, in a local office or local outreach centre and occasionally at a victim’s home, where agreed. The role includes to provide practical care and support, help to address basic needs eg. accommodation, safety, information) and help to complete paperwork & applications for compensation

Witness Service Volunteers give free and confidential support and information to help witnesses and their supporters (such as family and friends) deal with the experience of attending court to give evidence.  Activities include: meeting and greeting witnesses on arrival, providing information about the court procedure and layout, and accompanying witnesses into court if requested.

If you'd like more information about either of these roles, please come along to one of the following information sessions. Or contact Colm Keenan, Volunteer Manager: 028 9027 7778 or colmk@victimsupportni.org.uk
