Managing and Motivating Volunteers
This is a two day course in the specialist field of volunteer management. Managing volunteers is very different from managing staff and requires a different approach. This course examines these differences and provides guidance focusing on:
- Volunteer motivation
- Support and supervision
- Policy and procedure
- Addressing management issues
- The law in relation to volunteering
It provides the key skills and knowledge for development as a volunteer management specialist and to inform how an effective and supportive volunteer programme should be structured.
The course is stand alone but links closely to Recruitment and Selection of Volunteers information and builds on the key topics covered.
Courses are available as accredited and unaccredited options. OCNNI accreditation is 3 credits at level 2.
FREE courses are currently being funded through the Building Change Trust and can be booked through our Training Calendar. Places are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.
