2012 NI Volunteers Bursary Scheme

2012 NI Volunteers Bursary Scheme is designed to:

  • Enable local businesses, organisations or individuals to become a ‘Bursary Supporter’
  • Support people from Northern Ireland in their endeavour to be a London 2012 Games Maker

Bursary Supporters can benefit from:

  • Making the dream of being a Games Maker a reality for local people;
  • PR opportunities and media coverage; 
  • Receiving promotional acknowledgement by DCAL and Volunteer Now; 
  • Provide support to their staff members in supporter organisations who are successful in becoming a Games Maker;
  • Substantially contribute to the development of a skilled pool of individuals who can help to deliver major events for NI in the future;
  • Specifically support a Games Maker from their local area;
  • Reinforce their commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR); and
  • Maximise the impact of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Northern Ireland and contribute a 2012 legacy.
