Belfast will be hosting the Routes Europe 2017 in April, the largest regional Routes event and an essential forum for all companies with an aviation focus, looking to conduct business to, from and within the European region. The Event is supported by Invest Northern Ireland, Belfast City Council, Tourism Northern Ireland and both Airports.
Between Friday 21st and Tuesday 25th April, 1,200 international delegates will be arriving into the city and volunteers will be required to assist with their welcome at both airports, at welcome desks at the official hotels, at Belfast Waterfront and at special receptions at City Hall and Titanic Visitor Centre.
Visit Belfast, working in conjunction with Tourism Northern Ireland, wants to push out the red carpet and provide a really warm welcome – as the event has great potential to bring additional air routes into Belfast/Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland is going pink again with the return of The Gran Fondo Giro D’Italia. The official Giro D’Italia Big Start legacy event returns to Northern Ireland and Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June will see the third edition of the Gran Fondo.
Between Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th June volunteers will be required to assist with the smooth running of this iconic cycling event with marshalling, team leading, meet & greet, logistics support and registering competitors.
Like 2016, this year’s event will be a special experience with fully closed roads, two challenging cycling routes and post ride party with wood fired oven pizzas, pasta dishes and Italian beer and wine. On Saturday and Sunday (3/4 June) in Belfast there will be activities for families and friends at the Giro Expo and photo opportunities with the Giro d’Italia Trophy.

The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation will return to Northern Ireland this summer after Portstewart Golf Club was confirmed as the host venue from July 6-9, 2017.
Long considered one of the country’s finest links courses, Portstewart will be staging a European Tour event for the first time when tournament host Rory McIlroy defends his title here this summer. The course is regarded as having one of the most spectacular front-nine holes in Great Britain and Ireland – on the north coast of Northern Ireland. “Portstewart is an excellent links course and one of Northern Ireland’s hidden gems,” said Rory McIlroy.
Between Tuesday 4th and Sunday 9th July volunteers will be required to assist the golfing event with providing a warm welcome to visitors, meet & greet and orienteering competitors and delegates, driving and photography duties.
