Launch of Glider: 28 Aug - 15 Sept 2018

(Translink new bus-based rapid transit system for Belfast)

Glider is a new, innovative mode of travel for Belfast, set to further enhance the image of the city and inspire even more people to choose public transport.

Volunteers will be involved in providing support to the general public at halts within Belfast for the introduction of this new modern and high tech mode of travel, providing direct cross-city services between the east and the west of the City and linking into Titanic Quarter.

Tasks will include:

* Assist passengers to use the new ticketing machines at the halts

* Act as a first point of contact for the general public looking to use the new travel system (this may include international and domestic visitors looking to explore the city)

Event specific training will be provided by Translink during the month of August. Volunteer Ambassadors are encouraged to attend one of the sessions to help prepare for the role.
