Childline Foyle
Childline is seeking volunteer counsellors to speak to children and young people who call us about any problem. Childline depends on thousands of volunteers from all over the uk
Counselling Volunteers offer children comfort, support, and, where necessary, practical advice and protection. They help children explore their options and listen without judging. We are looking for people who respect children and young people. Counselling Volunteers should have 3/4 hours available per week. The helpline in Derry will be open in the evenings and at the weekends. We also require switchboard volunteers who help put children in touch with a counsellor as soon as one becomes available.
