Encourage - A social inclusion project for over 50s
Newry and Mourne Volunteer Centre have a wide range of interesting and exciting volunteering opportunities for the over 50s, in which you can get involved.
Recycle, Reuse is not just a theme for your rubbish or unloved items but for the skills and talents that you have learned over the years. Why not give an organisation some of your experience? You'll be amazed at the rewards.
As part of its 3rd Age programme the Centre has a number of events planned for the next few months. All you need to be part of the ENCOURAGE programme is to be over 50+ and doing some voluntary work. The programme is sponsored by Awards for All and provides volunteers with the opportunity to be part of a social network.
The Centre is planning a Christmas outing to Belfast for a stroll around the Continental Market and a visit to the newly refurbished City Hall. There is no cost involved and you just need to be over 50+ and a volunteer.
