Visitor Guides for Anne Frank + You Exhibition

Exciting new opportunity to volunteer over the summer. Newtownabbey Borough Council is looking for volunteers to act as guides for visitors and school groups for its hosting of an exhibition called Anne Frank + You at Mossley Mill.

Anne Frank + You is an audio-visual experience and journey of fact-finding and self-exploration. Using the historical basis of Anne Frank's diary and life, the exhibition explores issues that remain current relating to the themes of racial hatred, conflict and peace, inclusion and exclusion, democracy and dictatorship, responsibility and indifference.

The exhibition runs from 28 July - 30 September and volunteers are required to commit to a minimum of 3 and a half hours each day that they volunteer. Runs Monday to Fridays 9.30am to 4.30pm and Saturdays 12 noon to 4pm. Volunteers will help guide visitors and school groups; publicise the exhibition and events; and help guide visitors and school groups; and help visitors explore the full potential of the experience.

Volunteers must be available on Monday 26 July to attend a training workshop delivered by the Anne Frank Trust. For more details on getting involved contact Paul Dinsmore on 028 9446 6644 or email paul.dinsmore@volunteernow.co.uk .
