The RNIB Community Fundraising Manager, Richard Moore, is looking for volunteers to join his existing team in Northern Ireland. Every day over 100 people lose their sight. The Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) helps to rebuild lives devastated by sight loss by providing over 60 services for people who are blind or visually impaired.
There are a variety of volunteering fundraising roles currently available throughout Northern Ireland. These include people required to conduct collections in local supermarkets, count and bank the money, administration roles and speakers. In addition, Richard is looking for people interested in organising ad-hoc fundraising events relating to things that they may already be involved in, from charity golf days, coffee mornings to activities at their local school or church group.
RNIB is also looking for anyone who would be particularly interested in the role of Volunteer Coordinator (Fundraising) and Admin Office Support (Fundraising) to support the team in the vital work they carry out. Both roles are home based and offer a flexibility for anyone interested.
As an organisation, RNIB does not receive Government or statutory funding and relies on generous donations from the general public. Much of their funding comes from their famous 'Sooty' boxes, which can be seen in shops, restaurants and pubs throughout Northern Ireland.
Anyone who feels they can offer to help for a few hours per month to undertake this rewarding work can contact Richard to discuss the flexible volunteering opportunities with RNIB.
Contact Richard Moore or 02891 871519 or email richard.moore@rnib.org.uk
