Keeping Children Safe: Policy Development

This is a half day basic awareness course for those working with children and young people.

Keeping Children Safe Training is delivered by accredited trainers with experience of safeguarding issues.

Participants receive a certificate on completion of the full course.

This course covers:

  • legal and policy context of safeguarding children;
  • the recognised standards for a safeguarding children policy as outlined in Keeping Children Safe: Our Duty to Care;
  • policy statement, procedures and guidelines; and
  • how to develop a safeguarding children policy.


Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are limited to a maximum of 3 per organisation.

Joining information will be sent out the day before the session.
