Antrim and Newtownabbey Council Area Training Series – Creating & Promoting Volunteer Roles

Attracting and recruiting enough volunteers is always a key challenge for charities and other volunteer-including organisations, and in this new environment where competition for volunteers is fierce and volunteer expectations are higher, we need to make sure our volunteer promotion tools and activities are as effective as possible.

This workshop will explain the essential steps of creating an effective volunteer recruitment plan and role promotion campaign, from how to write clear and appealing role descriptions, to deciding on the most effective messages and methods to choose when advertising your roles.

We will explore different role promotion techniques and explore how to use free online design software, social media sites, online recruitment platforms, and other tools to make your volunteer recruitment as effective as possible.
