Keeping Children Safe: Creating a Safe Environment Refresher

Is it three years since your last safeguarding children and young people course? This will provide the refresher you need!

This certificated course will revisit the legal and policy framework for safeguarding, the categories of abuse which children and young people can experience and procedures for reporting concerns and dealing with an allegation against a member of staff/volunteer. The course also provides an update on  the procedures and guidelines which need to be in place to create a safe environment, including procedures for the recruitment, selection and management of staff and volunteers, risk assessment, and guidelines for the safe delivery of services and activities.
