Keeping Children Safe: Designated Officer Training 

Are you responsible for dealing with safeguarding children and young people issues which arise through the work of your organisation? This certified course is for you! It will provide useful information and guidance on your role and responsibilities as Designated Officer (or Deputy), as outlined in the NI Child Safeguarding Policy and Procedures. It will help you determine the correct course of action in relation to safeguarding referrals and explore Health and Social Care Trust structures and processes. Some recent feedback on this course: “The training was informative and will be very useful in my role.”

It is strongly recommended that you complete a safeguarding children and young people awareness course prior to attending this one,  preferably Volunteer Now’s ‘Creating a Safe Environment’ course. Check our training calendar for available dates!
