Ragwort Pulling Party

Join Ulster Wildlife for a rewarding day of practical conservation at Slievenacloy Nature Reserve, where you’ll help care for one of Northern Ireland’s finest species-rich grasslands.

Ragwort is an important native wildflower for insects, but it can be toxic to grazing animals if eaten in large quantities.  Each year, Ulster Wildlife carefully remove selected ragwort plants to support effective grazing and maintain this exceptional habitat, and they would love your help!

After the conservation task, enjoy a guided walk around the reserve to discover the fascinating wildlife that makes Slievenacloy so special.
