Recognition
The Volunteer Now Youth Impact Awards recognise the amazing endeavours of these young people and the value they add to the organisations they support.

Why Recognition Matters
While young volunteers often give their time without expecting anything in return, recognising their contributions is incredibly important. Celebrating their efforts not only boosts morale and encourages continued involvement, but also inspires others to get involved.
Recognition is a powerful motivator. Awards and acknowledgements serve as meaningful markers of personal achievement, enhancing their CVs and supporting future educational and career opportunities.
For organisations, showing appreciation helps volunteers feel valued and connected to your cause. It strengthens relationships and encourages long-term commitment, ensuring your mission continues to thrive with their support.
How the awards work
Volunteer Now believes that every hour spent volunteering counts. The Impact Awards recognise the hours that a young person volunteers, starting with a 10-hour award and building to 50, 100, 200, 300 and so on, with a new award issued every 100 hours. There is no limit as to how many awards a person can achieve.
A certificate and digital badge is provided to the young person when they reach each milestone so they can share this with their friends, families, employers and community.

Join the Programme
Volunteer Now requires all youth volunteering involving organisations to sign up to our Agreement. This agreement is a series of principles and are an indication of Good Practice when involving young people as volunteers. They are not legally binding.
