Campaigns
Volunteering campaigns are an important way of creating a movement to showcase the difference that can be made through volunteer involvement.
Volunteers’ Week
Volunteers’ Week is a UK campaign (1-7 June 2026) to say ‘thank you’ to the millions of volunteers across the UK who consistently make a difference to communities and causes.
Volunteer Now in partnership with Volunteer Scotland, Welsh Council for Voluntary Action and National Council for Voluntary Action work together to produce resources and guides to support you as you say ‘thank you’ to your volunteers.
Check out the UK website www.volunteersweek.org for more information.

UN Year for Sustainable Development for Volunteering
Volunteer Now is leading a working group to plan for the Year. It’s aim is “To promote the importance of volunteers for sustainable development”. More information will be shared as plans progress.
Good Relations Week
Volunteering makes a huge different to community relations and engagement. Good Relations Week is a great way to encourage involvement, share practice and get involved.
Coordinated by the Community Relations Council, Good Relations Week 2025 will run from Monday 13 to Sunday 19 October, with a dynamic programme of more than 200 cross-community and multicultural events taking place across all 11 local council areas.
Read their press release here and visit the Good Relations Week website to find out how you can get involved.
