Umbrella Access NI Service

We provide this service for volunteer involving, non statutory and non profit making organisations in Northern Ireland.

What we offer

The service that Volunteer Now provides is as follows: 

  • An accuracy checking service on forms to be submitted online to Access NI. 
  • Verification that ID validation has taken place. 
  • Countersigning online disclosure applications on behalf of organisations. 
  • Submitting online applications to Access NI for Disclosure Certificates. 
  • Guidance on Access NI process. 

Volunteer Now applies a charge of £12.50 per check to organisations for the provision of the service. Access NI checks for volunteers are free (subject to Access NI guidelines). Staff checks cost £32 (Enhanced Disclosures with or without Barred List Check).
