Volunteer Now’s Befriending Scheme supports people 65+ living in their own home who have little support from family and friends and are feeling isolated and/or lonely. We aim to support these people through telephone or face-to-face visits. A volunteer will call or visit weekly or fortnightly to provide friendship and hopefully help alleviate feelings of isolation/loneliness.
