EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR FLEADH CHEOIL BELFAST 2027 NOW OPEN – After a hugely successful volunteer programme at Fleadh Belfast 2026, where we were truly overwhelmed by the passion, warmth, and willingness to help by our volunteers, the Expressions of Interest for 2027 are now open.

Belfast proudly hosted Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, the world’s largest celebration of Irish music, culture and heritage, in August 2026. Over eight unforgettable days, the city came alive with music, culture and community spirit as people from across Ireland and around the world came together to embrace this landmark event.

Competitors from across the globe showcased the very best in traditional Irish music through the prestigious All-Ireland competitions, while a packed programme of concerts, street sessions, pageants, awards, recitals, exhibitions, Irish language events and family-friendly activities ensured there was something for everyone to enjoy.

The 2026 Fleadh was a truly historic occasion for Belfast. With more than one million visitors and spectators attending throughout the week, it became the most attended Fleadh ever and was arguably the largest cultural event the city has ever hosted.

As with every Fleadh, volunteers were at the heart of its success. Their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment played a vital role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for performers, visitors and local communities alike.

Following the success of Belfast 2026, Volunteer Now is delighted to once again manage the Volunteer Programme for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2027, taking place from Sunday 1 August to Sunday 8 August. We can’t wait to welcome both new and returning volunteers to be part of another incredible Fleadh experience.
