Keeping Children and Adults Safe: Training for Staff and Volunteers

The integrated in person training programme is aimed at those who engage with children, young people and adults at risk.

It covers:

• Legal context and policy context of safeguarding children and adults
• Awareness of vulnerability
• Awareness of abuse issues
• Procedures for reporting concerns
• Procedures for creating a safe environment and assessing and managing risk
• Confidentiality
• Code of behaviour for staff/volunteers.

Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are limited to a maximum of 5 per organisation.
