Keeping Children and Adults Safe: Training for Staff and Volunteers
The integrated training programme is aimed at those who engage with children, young people and adults at risk.
It covers:
- Legal context and policy context of safeguarding children and adults
- Awareness of vulnerability
- Awareness of abuse issues
- Procedures for reporting concerns
- Procedures for creating a safe environment and assessing and managing risk
- Confidentiality
- Code of behaviour for staff/volunteers.
This training will be delivered in 2 parts:
Part 1 10.00am – 12.00pm
Part 2 1.00pm – 3.30pm
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are limited to a maximum of 3 per organisation.
Joining information will be sent out 24 hours before the session.
This training is available for those working or volunteering in the Northern, Southern and Western Trust areas.
