Wake the Giant Festival
The return of the Wake the Giant Festival is the perfect reason to volunteer in the charming town of Warrenpoint! Nestled on the picturesque shores of Carlingford Lough, Warrenpoint is a town steeped in history and culture, and the annual Wake the Giant Festival is the perfect opportunity to experience it all.
This vibrant festival celebrates the town’s unique heritage & legends and offers a weekend full of exciting events and activities – from live music and performances, to Giant’s food feast and children’s activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. One of the festival’s most popular attractions is The Giants Parade, where visitors can witness enormous puppets of the legendary giant and other local folklore characters come to life.
We are delighted to offer a highly enjoyable volunteering role at this festival. As a “Giant Ambassador” you will use your giant personality to ensure the hundreds of visitors have a wonderful experience. You will meet and greet visitors and ensure they know what is happening at the festival and where. You will offer a warm welcome and enhance the friendliness of the event. You will also have a giant smile on your face the whole time as you will thoroughly enjoy meeting hundreds of new people!
