Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon Volunteer Race Crew 2023
The Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon is the largest mass sporting participatory event in Northern Ireland and is entering it’s 41st year and will take place on Sunday, 30th April, 2023. The marathon route encompasses North, South, East & West Belfast, passing many historic landmarks of Belfast. Other events on Marathon Race Day include Team Relay, Wheelchair Race, 8-Mile Walk and Expo & Pack Collection.

VOLUNTEER ROLES:
Friday 28th & Saturday 29th April – Expo and Pack Collection:
Assign runners their race numbers.
Race Day packs – replenishing stock and make sure every participant receives one.
Helpdesk – help runners with race day information
Sunday 30th April – Race Day Roles:
Route Marshal – Help direct all participants around the route giving plenty of support and encouragement along the way.
Water & Nutrition Station Team – Boost participants with much needed fuel.
Start Area Support Team – Cheer the runners off the start line.
Finish Area Support Team – Welcome participants across the finish line and share in their elation.

TRAINING DATES:
Sunday 16th April 12-1pm @ Mary Peters Track
Monday 17th April 1-2pm @ Girdwood Leisure Centre
Monday 17th April 6-7pm @ Templemore Leisure Centre
All training sessions will last no longer than one hour, and volunteers are only expected to attend one session.
