Now in its 8th year, The Granite Challenge takes place on Sunday 6th October 2019. The cycle starts in the cathedral town of Downpatrick, cycling via Tyrella towards Dundrum, along the coast road through the seaside town of Newcastle towards Annalong. Then it’s up into the Mourne Mountains passing Spelga Dam and then it’s downhill towards home, through Bryansford, Maghera and Clough.

Volunteers are needed to help with registration, marshaling and serving tea, coffee and tray bakes. Opportunities are available at Downpatrick, Spelga Dam and across the route.   For more details and to register visit: AMH Granite Challenge volunteers
