This is an excellent opportunity for new volunteers to get involved with the Volunteer Now Events team as we assist in the smooth running of this long-standing traditional show.  You will join a busy & friendly team of about 45 Show Maker volunteers who will be the first point of contact for show visitors when entering the site.

The main role will be to meet and greet visitors and help them to find their way around.  To help with visitor questions regarding what’s on, where events within the show are taking place, nearest catering or washroom facilities, etc.

Other activities that Show Makers may be asked to assist with are; acting as chaperone to the Show’s Mascot Donkey as he makes his way through the event,  to act as a runner between the media office and the main arena gathering results from the various competitions, and guiding visitors through the new attractions for 2023, such as the Horticulture Marquee and Animal Wonderland.
