RNID seeks new volunteers for their Near You project

RNID’s Near You project offers a free, in-person drop-in service for people who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus, or want to get their hearing checked.  Volunteers give practical support to the service user and advice about other support services for hard of hearing people.  Here’s Tom, one of RNID’s volunteers, to tell more about the impact of the service:

Volunteers are needed to help in the Near You hearing aid service in the following areas. but especially in the South Eastern Trust area (click the link for more info and to register):

South Eastern Health Trust area (Bangor, Ards, Downpatrick, Newcastle, Portaferry, Kricubbin)

Western Health Trust area (Omagh, Irvinestown, Lisnaskea, Enniskillen, Castlederg, L/derry, Limavady, Sion Mills, Plumbridge)

Northern Health Trust area (Coleraine, Ballyclare, Ballycastle, Cookstown, Ballymena, Larne, Carrickfergus, Glengormley, Maghera)

Southern Health Trust area (Banbridge, Rathrisland, Newry, Clougher, Dungannon, Armagh)

Belfast Health Trust area
