Volunteering in Charity Shops – How are Things Going?
An opportunity to network and share!
A follow up to our COVID-19 related VOLT series of Volunteer Now Members’ Session, looking at volunteering across themes:
Volunteering in Charity Shops – How are things going in light of COVID-19?
Thursday 3 September 2020, 11.00am – 12.00pm
COVID-19 has changed how we do so many things and volunteering is no exception. The measures such as social distancing, hand sanitising and wearing face coverings, mean that volunteering activities and roles have to be managed and carried out very differently.
The session will give you an opportunity to talk to colleagues working in a similar field about your experiences of managing and supporting volunteers under these new circumstances. You can hear how others are implementing the measures, share ideas, tips and strategies for dealing with any issues or challenges.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Sandra.email@example.com by 12.30pm on Wednesday 2 September 2020, to book a place. You will then be sent a link and joining instructions before the event.
Other upcoming VOLT Sessions are:
- Volunteer Driving – Thursday 10 September 2020 at 11am-12pm
- Volunteering in Environment & Heritage – Thursday 17 September 2020 at 11am-12pm
- Volunteering in Youth Groups – Thursday 24 September 2020 at 2-3pm
