Volunteering Small Grants NOW OPEN

The Department for Communities Small Grants for Volunteering Programme for Northern Ireland is now
open.
Limavady Community Development Initiative (LCDI), as lead partner for the Association of Independent
Volunteer Centres (AIVC) Volunteer Now and North West Volunteer Centre, has been appointed as the
Intermediary Funding Body.
The Volunteering Small Grants Programme provides grants of between £200 and £1,200 to help
organisations throughout Northern Ireland recruit and support volunteers.   To be eligible, organisations
must be formally constituted and must have an annual income not exceeding £100,000 per year.
Denise Hayward, CEO, Volunteer Now said, “This is an excellent funding opportunity for small volunteer
involving organisations which fulfill the criteria of the grant.   It will enable them to meet volunteer out of
pocket expenses, provide travel, training or small running costs and recruit new volunteers to help to meet
local need”.
Information sessions on the application procedure for this grant will be held between 21-24 August in
