Action on Hearing Loss need you for Deaf Awareness Week

This Deaf Awareness Week (6–12 May), can you help Action on Hearing Loss raise awareness and vital funds to help break down the barriers that people who are deaf or have hearing loss face in everyday life?

Whether it’s organising a bake sale, dressing up in your loudest clothes for a Dress in Decibels day, organising a pub quiz or taking on the Donut Challenge – DO it for Deaf Awareness Week.

They’ve got a FREE downloadable fundraising kit on their website to help make your chosen event a success – register to get fundraising ideas, templates and even a delicious donut recipe to support their #DontBeADonut Be Deaf Aware campaign launching in May.  They will be encouraging people to talk about hearing loss and deafness with their campaign – their aim is to challenge people’s understanding and perceptions.

You could help make a difference to the 300,000 in Northern Ireland living with hearing loss and deafness and support their vital services. So get involved with your friends, family, work colleagues and community and spread the word. And you don’t have to wait till May – you can start fundraising now!
