Event volunteers required!

For the first time ever the 38th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon will be held on a Sunday, 5th May 2019. The streets of Belfast will come alive as around 20,000 participants are expected to set off on their 26.2 mile journey.

There’s a new flatter and faster marathon route starting from the iconic Stormont Estate and finishing at Ormeau Park that encompass all 4 corners of Belfast . Be part of the biggest Marathon event in Northern Ireland and have great time by supporting runners and spectators!

The event relies heavily upon volunteers (just under 400 people to be exact!) to help the race run smoothly and we’re looking for people to assist with a range of tasks which include;

  • Acting as a route steward to direct participants
  • Managing a water or energy station
  • Work as part of a team at the start and finish areas to distribute packs and medals
  • Support the transport team along the route

Volunteer shift times will vary between 1h to 8h depending on your role and location.
