“I love volunteering”

I am 69 and I volunteer at Fermanagh Fun Farm 3 times a week cleaning out small animals and pet handling. Making sure they have food and enough warmth. When we have school kids, or the general public I am able to bring out fun information. I’m in my 3^rd year there. I also spend one morning a week loaning out wheelchairs for the Red Cross. Have to show how the chair works, folding up safety for the chair. We have chairs coming in and out so I have to log this information onto the Red Cross site. Once a week I also speak to a lady I was put in contact with from Befrienders.

I love volunteering also it gives me something positive to do. I have mental health problems but I am able to do the above. I would like to speak to others as I know there are people out there who could help but just do not take the first step.
