Volunteering changes lives

Volunteer Now is a Northern Ireland charity shining the light on volunteering.

People who volunteer often experience positive improvements in their mental and emotional well-being.

Volunteering can lead to new skills gained as well as opportunities for employment.

Your support helps us champion volunteering by inspiring more volunteers, creating new volunteering opportunities and celebrating the contribution volunteers make.

There are many ways to raise funds for Volunteer Now and we welcome support from individuals, workplaces, schools and local communities.

Volunteer Now needs to raise at least £60,000 every year to deliver our services.

How you can support us as an individual

Make a Donation  –  As a local charity all donations stay in Northern Ireland.  You can support us with a one-off donation or a monthly donation.   This will help us continue to be the voice for volunteering.

Leave a Gift in your Will  –  Leaving a gift in your will to Volunteer Now will help ensure we are always here.  It is a wonderful way to highlight how important volunteering is to our society.  Your gift, no matter what size, will help us continue to deliver our life changing services on behalf of individuals who volunteer and organisations who rely on volunteers.

Download our Leaving a Gift in Your Will Guide for more information.

Challenge Events  –  Volunteer Now is delighted if you choose us as your nominated charity.  You can run, walk or cycle for us in any existing event, take part in challenge events such as zip-lines, sky-diving or abseiling or even organise your own event.

With your help, we can change lives in Northern Ireland.

How organisations, schools and communities can support us

Partnerships  –  Businesses and organisations can work in partnership with us and support our work by choosing Volunteer Now as their Charity of the Year, organising staff fundraising events, sponsoring our volunteer awards or through payroll giving.

Schools Fundraising  –  Many volunteers are aged 16 to 24 years old and rely on volunteering opportunities to gain valuable skills for further education and employment.  Schools can help support our work by fundraising with sponsored events.  These are also a great opportunity for young people to improve their communication, organisational and team building skills.

For more information about how you, your school, organisation or community can support us, please email nadine.campbell@volunteernow.co.uk.
